Using the online free article marketing directories is really completely different from what you have seen in the paper-printed (magazines and newspapers) variant simply because you have to consider the search engine optimization and keyword density necessary to get a good response to your article.
Free article marketing is employed by quite a lot of businesses both small and large. The submission of the materials is made on specific article directories from where other publishers take that content and distribute it together with the links you have placed in the article linking back to your website.
Through this type of free article marketing, the visitors on a certain web pages can read the article and will see your links at the bottom and navigate their way to your website based on their interest in content that you provided, products or services. Remember you goal here is not just to write article content but to look like an expert in your niche as well.

Other than the keywords that you will use to optimize the articles, links make one other highly important element for your free article marketing. Some of article directories will accept a maximum of three links that can be included in the content while others will only accept one or two links in the author info box at the end of the article.
However be sure to check the terms on the article directory as some of these that allow links in the body of the article will also add a “nofollow” to them only allowing the resource box to carry any benefit for your site.
Understand and follow the rules of the article directories before submitting your finished articles. If you think that you don’t need to follow these rules then you will find that many of your article submissions will be declined, and your work will simply be a waste of time.
Content duplication is a major problem with article marketing.
One thing you do not want to do Do not submit the same articles that you have uploaded on your website or posted on blogs and social networks. The search engines and article directories use specialized software to check for duplicate content, which doesn’t allow you to use the same materials twice.
If you can not write the articles from scratch your self and you are going to be using PLR content then you only have one solution, and that is to re-write versions of your plr content using The Best Spinner or Magic Article Writer and then submit them to other blogs and directories.
Try not to submit the same article time and time again to the article directories simply because you will not get the full benefit of the article and its links. You are better off re-writing 10 articles and then submitting them to 10 article directories rather than writing one article and submitting it to 100 directories.
I’m still discovering the benefits of article writing. In the beginning of my blogging career I was so focused on creating and publishing original blog posts, that I overlooked article directories all together. I find that I can leverage some of my posts for articles and then re-write those articles a couple of times to a couple different directories. My audience is slowly growing, but it’s really nice to see the reports of the traffic finding me via a article directory. It’s something tangible that works.
