Google PR Update

Have you checked your Google page rank today…

I know I did, and found that the page rank of some of my sites had dropped by one and others had actually gone up by as much as two points. So what does it all mean…

Here's How to Get All Your Google AdWords Pay-Per-Clicks FREE!

I am sure over the coming weeks many guru's will surface with all of their rock solid reasons as to why this has happened. Some of the reasons I have heard so far today about the Google page rank are that there are more sites online now so that it is just a page rank adjustment to account for the massive amounts of sites a bit like a price correction on the stock market, that could be it after all that makes some sense.

The next scenario I have read about is that Google is attacking all of the paid link sites so to reduce the market for paid link sites maybe this is correct. What I do know for sure is that any of my sites that have followed googles guide lines seemed to have survived this up date, and the ones that I have tried different strategies on have dropped one page rank point or more.

I have even had one site where I have been aggressively building one way links getting this site to a page rank of 4 in just over three months, after the update it is now back to zero so I think Google is definately sending out a message. However I have had a site designed the same as this previous site but with out the aggressive tactics and its Google page rank has increased by two. So you be the judge and only by looking at each of your sites will you know what is affecting them and if you come accross any one trying to tell you what is what with this update I would be very skeptical in deed.

So to me this google page rank update and it is a global update is about building your site naturally and not with artificial or black hat techniques. I think this is like the warning shot over the bow from google telling us all to clean up our act or suffer the consequences.

If you need to know what is going on in the search engine world and want to build a site for long term profits then you need to check out Aaron Wall's Seo Ebook it over 300 pages with the best and latest information for search engine tactics.

I have also noticed that out of my seven sites none of the sub domains for these sites have lost any of their Google page rank and one has actually jumped up two points. For the next week or so I will be carefully monitoring my web stats of all my web sites to see the true results of this Google page rank update.

So before you panic and start making major changes to your site, let the dust settle and lets see where it all stops with this Google PR Update.

I have spent the afternoon checking out the damage to this Google page rank update and was surprised to see even though my main page had lost 1 point in page rank my internal pages such as /subfolder/page.html have increased by a page rank of two so for this site it has had more pages indexed in google.
